The Harmony Boys Are Back In Town, At Last + Other Team News

The team got back into Ilorin yesterday about 3am. It was a very long and stressful ride from Calabar back to Kwara.

Wasn't meant to be though, but the bus driver kind of made a wrong turn and the bus spent 6 hours in Calabar giving the players and coaching crew an unwanted and annoying tour of the beautiful town (Of course, it wasn't beautiful to them at the time).

Well, thank God they got back safely, all glory to God. Are we going to talk about their journey to Uyo (which later extended to Calabar, UJ Usuene stadium)? No, I won't want to. Visit the link below on all you need to know about the Akwa United loss.

Akwa United 2-1 Kwara United | Match Report: We Were ALMOST There!

The Harmony Boys and coaching crew really had to rest after that trip, it was like they were unofficially given the day off. The players who did not make the trip to Uyo/Calabar were told to go welcome the visiting Senate President Bukola Saraki in their stead.

In your last read on this blog I talked about 4 new players brought in by the coach. They are: 'Fade Adebayo (former ABS FC defender), Amungwa Emmanuel (fast becoming a fans' favourite), Babalola Azeez (the goal scorer in Calabar against Akwa), and the last player is named Adama, but he's yet to be registered. We hope that happens soon. But even more than that, we hope he's good enough for Kwara United.

Good to know that the 3 players already seen on pitch are blending in well. Very good!

Oh, lest I forget, I have always been asked the question of what happened to Evans Iyoro and I promised to get an answer. After the win against Rangers, Coach Abdulrahman said that Iyoro "broke camp rules."
Done my findings and according to the reports I got it seems the young midfielder was truly guilty.

I heard that on the week of the 3SC game, he claimed to have taken permission from the captain Onigbari to quickly enter town for personal business but he was told by the Camp Security Officer CSO that no player can leave camp for any reason but he didn't listen.

Well, that's the long and short story. He had to be punished. I really hope he gets back soon.

Fellow Harmonians, We play Lobi Stars tomorrow at the Kwara state stadium. They were a thorn in our neck last time they visited, but we have a better team now and they are not in the best position right now. I hope we really get it right against them by performing even better than we did against Rangers.

See y'all after the Lobi game. But you can follow me on twitter (@BayoPsalm) for updates on that match or go join the 'Kwara United Fansville' group on facebook.
