It was a very interesting encounter at the Kwara State
Stadium that saw the Harmony Warriors humble the Warriors from Maiduguri 2
goals to a consolatory one.
Kwara United dominated and showed champions stuff throughout
the match, especially in the first half where both their goals were scored off
the boots of Evans Iyoro and Segun Alebiosu in the 21st and 40th
minutes respectively.
The second half saw a rather laid back United side and they
paid for it 2 minutes to the hour mark when substitute Ibrahim Mustapha found
the back of the net with his first touch after coming on.
Kwara United made history in the Nigeria Professional
Football League on Sunday as the first club to field brothers on the same team
when the Gata brothers played together when Gata Ismaila came on for Jimoh
Ahmed.
The Harmony Warriors have garnered 4 points from two matches
this season, and their gaffer, Tunde Abdulrahman has showed optimism that his
boys will slug it out at the continent come next season.
