Oladele Eweje ensured that Shooting Stars defeated Kwara United 2-1 in the second semi final of the Nigeria National League Super Four Challenge.
Shootings Stars edged Kwara United and they advanced to the final thanks to Eweje's winner in a 2-1 win at the Kwara State Stadium.
Segun Alebiosu failed to beat Kola Ige on one-on-one situation after being set up by Adeshina Gata in the 8th minute.
Overlapping right back Victor Denise had his long range shot well gathered by the busy Ige.
Gata tormented Shooting Stars defence with his direct approach and pace. He was applauded by the fans anytime he touched the ball.
Alebiosu was also menacing upfront for the Kwara United. He ran at the channels when needed.
The lively Gata should have handed Kwara United the lead in the 21st minute. The starlet decided to pass rather than shoot when he was set up in the danger zone.
Shooting Stars started to create chances of their own and pushed forward in search of the first goal.
Sylvanus Ebiaku saw his bullet go off target with goalkeeper Ismaila Shagari in no man's land.
The former Sokoto United custodian almost gifted Shooting Stars the lead. His pass was intercepted by 3SC, somehow the Oluyole Warriors couldn't capitalise.
Meshack Chukwubuikem's finish let him down as he failed to convert a cross from Okiki Afolabi on the half hour mark.
Nyima Nwagua the lanky striker of Shooting Stars probed the shaky defence line of Kwara United. His effort was saved by Shagari in the 38th minute.
