Former Kwara United Players Send SOS To Government

Former players of Kwara United football club, who are yet to get their full pay for the services rendered to the club, have again reminded the government of the state about their plight.

The players were among those registered for the 2010/2011 football season, who got only 70% of the 100% sign-on fees they signed for.

In a statement signed by Monday Osagie and Blessing Okardi on behalf of the players, they recounted several efforts they have made to get their balance of 30%, which include writing of letters to the management and the government.

The players, some of whom have since retired, appealed to the government to assist them, as they are not civil servants who are entitled to pension and gratuity at the end of the service years.
