Six Coaches Undergo Kwara United Screening

 Six coaches have been interviewed by the management of Kwara United, as they are currently searching for a head coach who would be take charge of the Afonja Warriors this year.

The interview which was conducted at the sports ministry on Tuesday witnessed the likes of former captain, Tunde Sanni who is in pole position to be named as the new gaffer.

Tunde Abdulrahman who returned Wikki Tourists back to the Glo Premier League was also amongst the coaches looking for Kwara United job.

Abdullahi Biffo who almost secured a promotion ticket to the top flight with Kogi United last term in the National League was also screened by the heads of the Kwara State sports ministry.

The duo of Ali Zubaru and Jimoh Balogun who were assistants last season to Samson Unuanel was also involved in the interview.

It was initially understood that Zubaru and Jimoh would want to return to their posts where they served last season, but they both applied for the head coach job.

Former United goalkeeper, Kareem Elemosho was also seen at the venue of the interview in Ilorin.

Nasarawa United assistant coach, Kabiru Dogo also applied, but the former ABS FC head coach was absent.

Samson Unuanel who was in charge of the Afonja Warriors last season was not allowed to take part in the interview, and HWB learned that he has been told to look for a job elsewhere.

It is now expected that a new head coach would be named by the management of Kwara United.
