Other interviewed applicants were former Kogi United coach Abdullahi Biffo, Ali Zubaru and Jimoh Balogun and Kareem Elemosho.

"We have concluded interviews with the  coaches that applied and currently waiting for the ratification of the new manager for the club before we announced it," Maigudasanma said.

"We will announce it eventually this week, probably Friday after approval from the Ministry of Sports," he concluded.

Coach Samson Unnanel, who led the team back to the top flight was disqualified from seeking a return to his former post after been advised to look elsewhere.
