Fed Cup: Kwara United To Play Akwa Starlets In Enugu | #GidiSpeakz
Let me start with the hard bite followed by the bitter taste.
HARD BITE: the last time Kwara United played in Enugu we lost 3-1 to Rangers.
BITTER TASTE: Guess the state closer to Enugu between Akwa Ibom and Kwara? Well, your guess is as good as mine. That means it'll be easier for the Akwa Starlets' fans to transport themselves to go watch the match.
But I won't sweat that much because na Akwa Starlets we dey talk here, not Akwa United. How many fans gan dem get sef?
Another good news is that the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium is a very good 22,000-seater edifice that I'm pretty sure our travelling fans will most definitely be delighted to watch their darling club in.
And the fans who can't make the travel will most definitely ask: "Are we going to have the match on TV?" That's a question I can't answer now. But if we don't I'll be mad, so will every other Harmony Warriors fan, because...
Just check out the match to be played in our own Kwara state stadium that the stay-at-home fans that are so in love with our local league will be forced to watch: Kurmi Market v BJ Foundation.
I'm sure most of you are seeing those club names for the very first time. Not taking anything away from them though. They made it this far, means they are both 'big' clubs now.
Since every Kwara United fan is a potential KFA lover (Given the fact that they flogged rivals ABS FC to make it into the Fed Cup. *hides laugh*), Kwara Football Academy will slug it out with El-Kanemi Warriors in Kaduna on Thursday, 14 May.
And before I forget, Moje Queens of Kwara will also do battle in the Women's Fed Cup. They play Golden Babes in Warri on the 14th May.
