An inspection team from the League Management Company on
Saturday said it was impressed with the facilities at the Kwara Stadium ahead
of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Ibrahim Danbatta, who led the team on the visit, told the
News Agency of Nigeria in Ilorin that the facilities at the stadium were modern
and of international standard.
“The Kwara Stadium is a good sporting edifice, we have gone
round and we are impressed by what we have seen.
“The playing pitch, spectators seating arrangement and a
number of other places impressed us. It is a safe assumption to say the stadium
is ready to host league matches. There are few things that still need to be
done,” Danbatta said.
According to him, the LMC is working hard to ensure that all
the stadiums to be used for the Glo Premier League matches are of good
standard.
The team was conducted round the facilities by the stadium
manager, Wale Babalola and the state football association secretary, Jimoh Oke.
Kwara United General Manager, Haruna Maigidansanma was also
with the team.
